Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

  • Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.
  • Transfer to your hotel and check-in.
  • Spend the rest of the day relaxing and acclimatizing to the city.
  • You can explore nearby attractions like the Nairobi National Museum or the Karen Blixen Museum if you have time.

Day 2: Nairobi City Tour

  • Start the day with a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a sanctuary for orphaned elephants and rhinos.
  • Head to the Giraffe Centre to get up close and personal with the endangered Rothschild giraffes.
  • Visit the Kazuri Beads Women's Cooperative to learn about traditional beadwork and support local artisans.
  • In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the Nairobi National Park, where you can see wildlife such as lions, zebras, and giraffes against the backdrop of the city skyline. Return to your hotel in the evening.

Day 3: Maasai Mara National Reserve

  • Depart from Nairobi early in the morning and head to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa's most famous wildlife reserves.
  • Arrive at your safari lodge or camp and enjoy lunch.
  • In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Maasai Mara, searching for the "Big Five" (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino) and other wildlife.
  • Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Maasai Mara Game Drives

  • Spend the entire day exploring the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives.
  • Visit the Mara River, known for its dramatic wildebeest migration (seasonal - usually from July to October).
  • Enjoy picnic lunches in the reserve to maximize your time in the wilderness.
  • After a day of thrilling wildlife sightings, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park

  • Depart from Maasai Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its abundant birdlife, including thousands of flamingos.
  • Arrive at your lodge or camp for check-in and lunch.
  • Embark on an afternoon game drive around the park, looking out for rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife.
  • Visit the shores of Lake Nakuru to witness the spectacular flocks of flamingos and other water birds. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park

  • Leave Lake Nakuru and drive to Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.
  • Check-in at your lodge or camp and have lunch.
  • Embark on an afternoon game drive, exploring the park's diverse wildlife, including large herds of elephants.
  • If weather permits, enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro during your game drive. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Amboseli National Park

  • Spend the full day in Amboseli National Park, enjoying morning and afternoon game drives.
  • Explore different areas of the park, searching for wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and a variety of bird species.
  • Visit a Maasai village to learn about their traditional culture and way of life.
  • Enjoy a final dinner at your lodge or camp, soaking in the beauty of the African savannah.

Day 8: Departure

  • After breakfast, depart from Amboseli National Park and drive back to Nairobi.
  • Depending on your flight time, you can visit local markets or souvenir shops for last-minute shopping.
